| Facts: The flamboyant tree (Delonix regia) is also known as the Royal Poinciana as well as by many other names including Krishnachura, Gulmohar, Peacock Flower, Flame of the Forest, etc. It is native to Madagascar but is widely grown in the Caribbean and parts of Asia. It is grown mostly for ornamental reasons. |
