Facts:  This telescope has a dish diameter of some fourty meters. There are a number of cosmic microwave telescopes at Owens Valley station. Microwaves are electromagnetic waves with wavelengths between about 1 millimetre and 1 metre and frequencies between 0.3GHz and 300 Ghz. In the background the Caltech millimeter array can be seen.
