| Facts: Starfish (more correctly known as sea stars as they are only very distantly related to fish), are marine invertebrates belonging to the kingdom animalia, phylum Echinodermata, class Asteroidea. Most starfish have five arms (as do the ones in the photos) but some have more and some have fewer. Starfish live in all of the worlds oceans and there are about 1800 known species. |
