| Caption: Earth pillars, or hoodoos, photographed near Drumheller, Alberta, Canada. |
|
 |
| Facts: Drumheller is located about 110km northeast of Calgary, Alberta on the Red Deer River. It is in the heart of the Canadian Badlands. Hoodoos are made of soft sedimentary rock topped by a layer of harder rock. Rain and weathering remove the softer layers of rock leaving behind the column under the cap of harder rock. |
