| Facts: Aspen trees (Populus tremuloides) are a deciduous tree native to North America. The name is a reference to the \"trembling\" of the leaves that occurs at the slightest breeze. The tree is known by many names including quaking aspen, trembling aspen, golden aspen, poplar, trembling poplar and more. Aspen trees provide habitat for a variety of wildlife including deer, hare, black bear, elk, woodcock, grouse and many small birds and animals. |
